About

Carotenoid pigment from microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. Unique molecular structure allows it to span the entire cell membrane, making it the most potent natural antioxidant measured in vitro (singlet oxygen quenching: 6000x vitamin C).

Mechanism of action

Quenches singlet oxygen and scavenges free radicals at both inner and outer leaflets of cell membrane. Anti-inflammatory via NF-κB, JAK/STAT, and NF-E2 pathways.
