CLA from safflower oil or dairy is a mixture of trans fatty acids with body composition (muscle/fat), anti-cancer, and metabolic effects.

Mechanism of action

Incorporated into cell membrane phospholipids altering membrane fluidity and lipid raft composition. Serve as precursors to specialised pro-resolving mediators (resolvins, protectins) that actively resolve inflammation. Activate PPAR nuclear receptors for metabolic gene transcription.
